A little introduction

FROM THE ROOFTOP
TO THE OCEAN.

Join us on an 11-day cross-border running adventure through Tanzania and Kenya, where the spirit of movement meets the magic of exploration.

Run misty mountain trails, cross golden savannahs and finish with barefoot moments beside the Indian Ocean. Stay in stunning lodges and cosy homestays, meet people who make you feel instantly at home, and collect stories that last well beyond the finish line.

Come move with us. Come feel alive.

Friend of the road

MEET LEE.

Born and raised in Moshi, Lee began running in 2020 to connect with the Kilimanjaro Runners crew. One step led to another: a first half marathon, a 3:46 marathon debut and then a 2:50 finish in 2025.

What impresses us most is how he shows up—with consistency, joy, curiosity and heart. As one of the first local beats of the Kilimanjaro Runcident, he will not just guide you. He will remind you why you started.

“Running connects me with many good people.”
A little visual evidence

THIS COULD BE
YOUR CAMERA ROLL.

No glossy brochure energy. Just race nerves, dusty roads, big animals, proper food and the Indian Ocean.

THE ITINERARY.

Moshi to Diani, with a marathon, wildlife, local roads and the Indian Ocean in between.

DAY 01

Welcome to Moshi

Touch down in Moshi, meet your fellow runners and settle in over a welcome dinner. Tonight is for carbo-loading, introductions and bad jokes—not running.

DAY 02

Acclimatise

Ease into Moshi, stretch the legs and get comfortable at altitude. A gentle local run leaves plenty in the tank for race day.

DAY 03

Kilimanjaro Marathon

Race beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. Choose the full marathon, half marathon or the shorter fun run, then celebrate the finish together.

DAY 04

Cross the border to Tsavo

Take a leisurely recovery morning before crossing into Kenya and travelling to Tsavo for your first night among the wide-open landscapes.

DAY 05–06

Wildlife wonderland

Trade running shoes for safari hats. Two days give us time for game drives, slow lodge mornings and whatever Tsavo decides to show us.

DAY 07

Taita Hills

Travel into the scenic Taita Hills and join local runners for a run through the area’s remarkable landscapes.

DAY 08–10

Coastal chill in Diani

Finish beside the Indian Ocean with three well-earned days of pristine sand, Swahili food, swimming, beach volleyball or simply doing very little.

DAY 11

Farewell, friends

Head home with new friends, a full heart and perhaps a suitcase carrying more Kenyan coffee than it started with.
